On Earth, a golden retriever named River lived with his owner, Paul — an inventor whose obsession with space and aliens led him to pour his life savings into building a spaceship. Loaded with golden records containing friendly greetings for extraterrestrial beings, the ship was ready to launch. But shortly after the journey began, Paul falls ill and passes away, leaving River alone in an empty house. One day, River is visited by mysterious figures who send him on a new mission. With each task, River must overcome a series of challenges and build a team to complete the journey.
However, the challenges River faces are far from typical combat. Instead, they are puzzle-like situations that require careful thought and strategy. The key to solving them lies in placing colored orbs, known as “auras,” on the game board to activate Action Cards that resolve the challenges. Your teammates play a crucial role in creating these auras, and it’s up to you to position them wisely to succeed.
Nearly every teammate has a skill that generates auras, but their abilities are determined by dice rolls, adding an element of unpredictability. For example, if you need a blue aura, but a teammate’s dice has three sides with blue and three with red, you only have a 50% chance of getting the result you need. Planning and probability are key as you navigate each mission with your dice-driven team.
