Vertical Kingdom takes place in a world ravaged by a war that spanned an entire generation. The once-mighty Empire lies in ruins, and it falls to the Great Architect to restore it to its former glory, brick by brick. Journey across the land, embark on randomized, roguelite-style expeditions, and construct new cities using an innovative card-based building system combined with a complex resource economy.

Rebuild the Empire not through military might or cunning politics, but through careful construction. Utilize a card-based system to raise towering cities. Each turn, choose five decks and play cards to build upwards. Manage vital resources such as food, water, bricks, wood, stone, and metal to ensure your city can expand and accommodate new developments.

As the Great Architect, your mission is to reconstruct the Empire, one building and one region at a time. Embark on significant expeditions to establish new cities in the name of the Emperor, while navigating the challenges posed by each region—be it treacherous terrain, resource shortages, or limited building space.
